Hello, D.G. here!
Let me tell you a little about myself.
I’ve played the piano since the age of six and performed professionally since high school. I also found that I had a knack for composition and arrangement. Throughout the years, I’ve done many different things to cultivate my skills playing with various types of bands, rock, swing, etc… I have also done quite a bit of traveling, performing all the way!
I played several years in Las Vegas as well as in Great Britain, Europe, and South America.
It was these travels that brought a new awareness to other cultures and other music. From the bagpipes of Scotland to the pan pipes of Ecuador. I’ve listened and I’ve learned...
Music is a universal language!
Currently, I live back in San Diego, California, where I grew up.
I play around town as most musicians do, but because I am so versatile and play many genres of music, I enjoy the benefits of getting to play in the most interesting venues.  One of these venues was the Bing Crosby Restaurant and Piano Lounge in Fashion Valley. I was privilaged to play for Bing's widow Kathryn at the opening ceremony (watch video here). She taught me a thing or two right on the spot! I am always listening and still learning!
Most recently, I took to  performing at the newley reopened Historic Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant in Old Town It is a cool place, so if you are in San Diego look it up and come and see me. (watch video here)
I have also owned a recording studio here in San Diego which allowed me to work with many types of musicians and types of music, adding again to my diversity.
I mention this because as you listen to my albums you will see that diversity come alive. I have instrumental, vocal, Celtic, Latin jazz with a little calypso flare, swing and standards, and R&B…
I especially like the Celtic stuff as my heritage is Scottish & Irish and yes, I have a kilt! Though I was not born there, It seems to run deep in my soul…
